Jewellery-making workshop in Nice: create your own bracelet, necklace or personalised piece at Mamie Jo
What if your next piece of jewellery was imagined entirely by you?
- A bracelet full of charms that tell the world who you are.
- A colourful anklet for the summer.
- A delicate necklace with your initials.
- A stack of beads and pendants that looks like you.
At Mamie Jo, we have imagined a jewellery-making workshop in Nice where everyone can put together their own piece, choose their colours, mix styles and above all… let their imagination speak.
Because a piece of jewellery you made yourself is never quite like any other. It tells a story. And above all, it looks like you.
Making your own jewellery: a creative activity open to everyone
When you think about jewellery making, it is easy to imagine that you need to handle complicated tools or to have plenty of experience. Good news: not at Mamie Jo.
Our workshops are designed to be open to all, even if you have never made a piece of jewellery in your life. You choose your base, your charms, your colours and the little details that make all the difference. Then we guide you through putting your creation together.
No need to be a jeweller. No need to be especially good with your hands. And above all, no need to arrive with a precise idea. You can simply let the possibilities in front of you inspire you.
The charm bar: create a piece that tells your story
If there is one thing we love at Mamie Jo, it is the charm bar. The idea is simple: you choose the little pendants you like to put together a piece that looks like you. And that is where things become really personal.
- A flower because you love the spring.
- A heart to stand for someone you love.
- An initial.
- A little shell that reminds you of the sea.
- A fruit, a star, a good-luck symbol.
- Or simply a charm chosen because you find it far too pretty.
You can mix styles, colours and shapes. There is no perfect combination. There is simply the one you like.
Bracelet, necklace or anklet: it is up to you
The good thing about a jewellery-making workshop is that your imagination is not limited to one kind of piece. Depending on the workshop on offer, you can create different accessories.
And why not several pieces?
You can also imagine a little matching set: a bracelet and a necklace, two different bracelets, one piece for you and another as a gift. The possibilities grow with what you feel like making.
How does a jewellery-making workshop work at Mamie Jo?
Our jewellery workshop in Nice is above all a moment to take your time and create.
1. Choosing your piece
You start by choosing the kind of piece you want to make: bracelet, anklet, necklace… Your creation starts to take shape.
2. Choosing your chain
This is often when the first big decisions arrive. Silver or gold? Long or short? Fine or chunky? Anything is possible.
3. Choosing your charms
Welcome to the charm bar. And here, get ready to hesitate. Because when there are lots of adorable little charms in front of you, choosing suddenly becomes much harder.
4. Laying it out
You lay out your charms to picture your creation. You can change things, move them around, take one away, add another, change your mind completely. It is your piece.
5. Putting it together
Once your layout is ready, we explain how to join the different parts to finish your creation. Little by little, those separate parts become a real piece of jewellery.
6. Leaving with your creation
And there it is. Your piece is finished. All that is left is to wear it. And above all, to answer the question: “Where did you get that bracelet?” With the quiet pride of being able to say: “I made it myself.”
An original activity idea in Nice with friends
Are you looking for an activity with friends in Nice that is a change from the usual coffee or restaurant? A jewellery-making workshop is a lovely way to share a creative moment. Everyone makes their own piece. You can inspire each other, choose charms together, give each other advice on colours.
Creating a piece together
The workshop can also be a chance to create a piece for someone: your best friend, your sister, your mum, your daughter, your partner, or simply someone you feel like making happy.
You can create a matching bracelet, a necklace with an initial, an anklet for a friend, or a piece that stands for a shared memory. And that is often when the creation takes on an even more personal dimension.
And what if you are not creative?
As always at Mamie Jo, the answer is simple: it does not matter. You do not need to arrive with an idea worthy of a shop window. You can simply look at the different possibilities and see what draws you in. A colour. A charm. Then another. And little by little, your idea appears.
That is also what we love about creative workshops: you do not always know what you are going to make before you start. And if the doubt lingers, our 8 tips to create without pressure are there for exactly that.
A creative workshop, but above all a good time
At Mamie Jo, we do not simply want to teach you how to make a bracelet. We want to give you a real moment of pleasure around creating. Chatting, choosing, hesitating, changing your mind, laughing, taking inspiration from other people’s creations… and leaving proudly with something you imagined yourself.
That is exactly how we see creative crafting. No pressure. No competition. No need to know how. Just the wish to create.
